At the UBC Visual Cognition Lab, I built and lead an experiment involving over 100 participants as part of a project looking into visual search patterns and how we can enhance low-level visual saliency on computer screens.
At its conclusion, I presented my findings to the 2022 Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC) where my project won 2nd place (out of 124 participants). I was invited to present at the 2022 International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR), but was unable to attend due to my commitments abroad with the JET Programme.
In 2022, I was nominated by my program chair, and was later awarded the Andrew Wade Memorial Award in Visual Analytics from the University of British Columbia.
Below is a collection of my write-ups, datasets, participant demographics, and slide deck.
As an athlete and someone who is passionate about finding solutions for diagnosing and treating brain injury, I joined the Vancouver Brain Injury Association in 2020 as a Research Coordinator, looking into functional treatment methods for mTBI (concussion) diagnosis, and pathways for recovery.
At the University of British Columbia, I drafted a research proposal looking at how EEGs can be used to diagnose brain injury through event-related potentials (ERPs).
