As the sole designer of the SenTip project, my role was to create a user-friendly website that integrates AI-powered career coaching with human expertise to offer affordable career services to individuals. The goal of the project was to provide personalized career advice and support to people looking for career guidance in a cost-effective way.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
The target audience for SenTip was people who were either just starting their career or were looking to make a career change. The audience was expected to have basic computer skills and some familiarity with online career platforms.
KEY CHALLENGES AND CONSTRAINTS
Designing a website for an AI-powered career coaching service presents a unique challenge due to the novelty of the concept. Unlike traditional career coaching services, this new approach requires educating potential clients on the benefits of AI coaching. Furthermore, the website must be designed to be accessible and user-friendly for a diverse audience, while also adhering to web accessibility standards.
RESEARCH STUDY DETAILS:
To gather user requirements, I conducted a comprehensive market research study to identify competitors and their offerings. This research helped to identify gaps in the market and create a unique value proposition for SenTip. Next, I conducted user interviews and surveys to gather user requirements and feedback on the initial design concepts.
INITIAL DESIGN CONCEPTS:
Based on the findings from the discovery process, I created initial design concepts for the website. All initial designs included a clean and modern interface that would guide users through the career coaching process, utilizing the AI-powered career coach and human expertise. Figure components were generated using Stable Diffusion.
Designs were created to be intuitive and accessible, with a focus on providing personalized and actionable career advice.
SKETCHES AND WIREFRAMES
After developing the initial design concept, I created wireframes to visualize the layout of the website. These wireframes were then tested with a sample group of users to gather feedback on the ease of use and effectiveness of the layout.
USER TESTING
Based on the user feedback, I made changes to the layout and design to improve the overall user experience. I conducted multiple rounds of user testing to ensure that the website was user-friendly, accessible, and effective in delivering personalized career advice.
Ultimately, it was determined that a simple, minimalist layout was the most conducive to usability and service uptake. This approach allows users to easily navigate the site and access the AI career coaching service without being overwhelmed by too much information or too many options. By focusing on clear, concise messaging and intuitive design elements, we aim to educate potential clients about the benefits of AI coaching and inspire them to take action towards achieving their career goals.

MOCKUPS AND HIGH-FIDELITY PROTOTYPES
After finalizing the wireframes and user testing, I created high-fidelity mockups of the website design. The final design included a user-friendly interface that guided users through the career coaching process, with clear calls to action and personalized recommendations based on their assessment results.
CONCLUSION:
Through various iterations, SenTip became an AI-powered career coach website that offered affordable career services with the support of experienced human career coaches. The design helped to deliver a personalized and intuitive user experience, and the final product was successful in meeting the project goal of providing accessible and affordable career services.
